Inverter Duty Motors

Inverter Duty Motors

Description:

The introduction of Inverter Duty Motors in industrial automation marks a major shift, allowing for cost-effective and simple speed control of induction motors, especially squirrel cage types. However, using an inverter requires specific motor adaptations, including special materials and electrical and mechanical finishes.

To ensure proper cooling during extended low-speed operation and reduce noise at high speeds, axial servo-ventilation can be added. Installing an encoder on the motor shaft enables rotor position and speed detection, facilitating vector control with dynamic performance akin to DC motors.

Additionally, other rotary transducers like resolvers or Hall sensors can be used, and thermal sensors can monitor winding temperature during variable work cycles.

Field of use:

Lifts, Industrial Washing Machines, Mechanical Processing, Textile Plants, Electric Cars and Trolleys, Air Treatment

Custom-made option:

We have the expertise and the availability to study, design, and implement any project that includes this type of brake, starting from the specifications/drawings provided by the customer. Shafts and/or flanges to design and mechanical suitability to particular radial and/or axial loads and electrical sizing for extra European voltages/frequencies protection and isolation from external agents and pre-arrangement for inverter drive use of special rectifiers to manage the release and/or braking times.
