This electromagnetic brake features rapid stopping, high braking torque, and the ability to perform numerous interventions quickly. It’s ideal for precise and immediate stopping or positioning, ensuring shaft locking even during power loss. It can be powered by AC or DC, with a rectifier integrated into the motor terminal board. Mounted at the motor’s rear inside the fan cover, which extends beyond the standard IEC non-braking motors, it includes a cooling fan positioned at the back of the brake.
It can be mounted on different motor ranges, also in the following versions on requests:
– UL – CSA motor built and marked in compliance with North American safety requirements
– ATEX:motor built and marked in compliance with the requirements of the 3G and 3D categories for Zone 2 – 22.
Lifting, Handling, Packing
We have the expertise and the availability to study, design, and implement any project that includes this type of brake, starting from the specifications/drawings provided by the customer. Shafts and/or flanges to design and mechanical suitability to particular radial and/or axial loads and electrical sizing for extra European voltages/frequencies protection and isolation from external agents and pre-arrangement for inverter drive use of special rectifiers to manage the release and/or braking times.
